Sill Plate Removal
So WIS shows only how to remove the door sill plate for the earlier R230 version which does not correspond to my 2009 SL 63. It's the door sill pieces and their removal, necessary to get at the bolts along the top of the rocker cover, that is very different. Anyone done this on a 2009+ (I believe the 500/550 are the same)? I think there is only one way to proceed but, as everything is so freaking expensive, am fearful of breakage...

Hah! Searching using Illuminated AMG found and aftermarket install thread which has some good photos. Still not the same sill plates but useful info.
