Is the SmartTop module still a good purchase?

Now that my top is working again I'm considering purchasing a SmartTop module. They are kind of expensive ($360) and I haven't seen them mentioned in any post in about ten years so I'm wondering what the general opinion of them is today? I use my convertible top a lot.

And, Go!

If you open or close the roof while doing say above 40 kph and hit a bump or pot hole, you run the serious risk of misaligning the delicate framework. Good luck fixing that if it happens.

There's a reason the makers don't allow you to open the top while driving. Be aware though that you can use the top at low speed - up to about 15 kph. Handy to know.

Answer to the question: yes, totally worth it. I use the smarttop features every time I drive the car. Tom is right, of course, and there's another reason for caution: while the roof is moving on its own, there's plenty of opportunities to get body parts crushed or sheared. The system has no safety stop, other than in OEM mode your hand on the roof switch.

I find it really convenient. I do use the remote open/close, but the other features I think are more useful.
One touch windows, one touch seats, easy entry, and auto door locking/unlocking I think are worth it.

That is a very good list of features. Very impressive. Especially the "other features"

And there's more, like the cross eyed coming home feature.... just read the manual on the mods4cars website.
