REPLACING THE REAR FRAME BUSHINGS

R230 fans, I have a clunking noise that comes from my left rear. Upon inspection I can see one of the bushings is gone. In preparation for a replacement, I would like to have some questions answered from those who have done this job.
1.-To use the bushing extracting tools, how low the frame must be lowered? Are the bushings push out from the top or bottom?
2.-Is it necessary to remove the brake calipers?
3.-How about the differential shaft?

Thanks for sharing your wisdom!
