So, last summer my trans would drop out of off gear when the car was fully warmed up. When it cools down it would drive again. I put in a new conductor plate and all was fine. There was a lot of metal chips in the pan and on the plate. I cleaned it all and hopped for the best. Well yesterday it happened again. I dropped the conductor plate again and this is what I saw. It's only about 300 miles after I cleaned and installed the conduct plate.
I'm sure it's excessive amount of metal.
Is this the end for it?
Is so, any suggestions for where get one?
Thank you for any input.

I would find a good local shop to evaluate and probably go through it. The NAG1 is pretty common, so any decent shop should be able to handle a rebuild.

Thank you for the reply. I am planning on doing an upgrade on engine soon. Can you suggest some upgrade to have done on trans?
The SL55 build is really a pretty good base to start with. A good builder will probably suggest a few upgrades, but it should not require a lot of modifications.
