SL/R230: Gear selector link/rod length difference

Gear selector link/rod length difference
The part number in the box is exactly the same but this rod is off i think a sl350 which is longer than the sl55 i am just wondering if the rod is adjustable or if a sl500 rod would fit a sl55

The 5-speed and 7-speed have different rods. A 5-speed SL350 rod should fit an SL55, a 7-speed rod would not.

If we are still just talking about the shifter rod, yes. If you are taking about the whole transmission, it will fit, but it is not designed to handle the SL55 torque.
