Tonneau cover fabric loose

The vinyl fabric covering the large, center section of the tonneau on my 2004 SL500, has come loose. There is nothing holding it down except for clips or something on the outside ends. While driving with the top down, the fabric flaps up and down with the breeze. Aside from looking bad, it seems that if this continues, it might rip or fly off. Has anyone else encountered and resolved this problem? What adhesive will work- especially around the edges where there is very little fabric to turn under?

Pretty common. I used a thin double sided Gorilla Tape on the last one I fixed, with lots of binder clips to clamp it. Seemed to work better than other methods I have tried.

I found the tape at Home Depot. It is something like 1.5" wide, so I cut it down on the roll and used narrow strips. Kind of a pain to get the back liner off, but I haven't found anything better yet.
