SL/R230: How to test for a bad ABC Pressure Sensor vdc on leads
I am leaning towards a bad ABC pressure sensor =PS because sometimes 190 bar other times on start up 0 bar on my iCarsoft MB V3.0. Been that way for the last month.
what kind of voltages could I test for coming off the leads going into and out over the PS. looks like a brown/black wire red/black wire white/black wire ?
Unfortunately it requires the use of a "socket box" which is just a breakout box to enable measurements with a multimeter at the main ABC connection.
However on connector 2 of ABC unit,
pin 36 = +V (ref)
pin 37 = signal
pin 38 = 0V
this means on pressure sensor plug
pin 3 = +V (ref)
pin 2 = Signal wire
pin 1 = 0V
It gives a voltage reading of between 4.25V and 5.25V for a reading of 180 to 200 bar.
There are 4 other pressure sensors one for each wheel.
These specify the same voltage readings for pressures between 60 and 100bar and use same pins in the sensor plugs
I have no experience of making these measurements, just passing on information from Xentry and WIS.

Maybe I should ask is there an overall ABC pressure sensor ?

On xentry diagnostics procedure and WIS it indicated four others (using my 2005 car as a reference) and showed one other sensor for each wheel.
As I said, no direct experience of this, just sharing mercedes documentation.
Always go with information from members who have direct experience of working on these systems.👍
