Nice shots wildcat. Your choice of angles and lighting is great.

The color looks awesome. I was wondering if it is hard to see the rear brake lights, when you stop? I hate stopping in my city because of the fear of being rear ended. We have the worst drivers in the world here. We are probably know as the rear end capitol of the world.

We've always wanted a red convertible and when the dealer pulled this up on the lot and told me that it had all options including pano roof, I was sold. It's 80 degrees and sunny today in San Diego (all you people in the northeast please don't hate me) and I had the Designo out so that it can glow. I suspect it's days are limited with me. After driving the V12, I feeling the need to change. The 600 is really my wife's Xmas gift. She has only driven it once to get her nails done so it's spent most of the last two weeks in the garage or at the dealer for an alignment.

I have been known to sneak it out once or twice. :v

Your car is GORGEOUS I am in the San Francisco area, east actually which is 10-20 degrees warmer than the city because of the mountains. I wish my car was here as it might be tops down weather today here as well.

Thumbs up Re: Mars Red SL

Wildcat, that car is a beauty!! That's the best shot I've seen shy of standing next to it in person. In your email you said you had it clayed at the dealer, what wax/polish have you used on it or did they use on it, it really looks great in the pictures. Have your ever tried the Klasse line of products? After seeing these pictures, I'm ready to order this color. It will NOT blend in with the all the rest.

Wildcat,

I am going to make one suggestion for your car which I think will make it even more gorgeous and blow you away.

Change out the tail lights for the AMG ones. They have the charcoal strip in them and I think they would look incredible against the Mars red. They are $306 per light and about 1.5 hours of labor to install.

I promise you that you will not be sorry.

Here is the Mars Red with the AMG tail lights for you to look at. Personally, I think it will look even better in person than the picture is showing.

I refuse to wash my car. I just don't enjoy doing it anymore. It only takes one time to screw it up. MB of Escondido does free washes and they do a fantastic job. No swirls. I take my car there every week. We also had the Designo clayed/tefloned and the car looks new. They actually told me not to wash it and to let them do it. That way they get better trades.

When I go this week, I'll ask what products they use.

Lovin, That SL55 looks great in mARS rED. I particularly like those quad exhaust pipes. I'll have to ponder changing out the tail lights, but I'm leaning towrds keeping them stock becuase I hate to break up the red.

We are glad that we bought the Mars Red. I heard all the stuff about low resale with red, but I don't care (it's my $140k). There are just too many Black and Silver cars and I've only seen one other in Mars Red in the last two years.
