need help with removal of steering rack
hi guys i was wondering if someone had a set of instructions for removing the power steering rack for SL 500 , 2003-2006 ?
i have been looking at this for three days now i can't seem to figure out which part would disconnect in order to free up the rack any help would be appreciated i have attached some photos here
i have purchased a used steering rack but it didn't have a spindle so id like to remove the entire assembly SO THAT i can re use some of the lines etc

Did you ever figure this out?
I'm confused by your mention of a "spindle" which is the part which is part of the suspension. The steering rack connects to the spindle via the tie-rods.
If you need more help, please give more details of where you are now.
The only step I found difficult related to this was removing the spring loaded electrical connector on the steering rack. Its in an awkward position and I wasn't strong enough to squeeze the spring, but finally found someone who was.
