Bose sub size

I’m working on solving a red battery warning on my 04 SL and while I was troubleshooting, I had to take out the Bose subwoofer. Am I the only person that thought it was larger than it actually is?

Don't be put off by the size, LoL. Bose is known for making small speakers that sound amazing for their size. I've owned a few of those Bose "Wave Radios" that sound crazy good for their size. Bose were considered fairly high-end. So it makes sense that Benz would use them. Back in the 1960s, they made some "normal" size speakers that sounded really great,I knew a guy who had some of those and he used to have some big, blow-out parties... And the son of the owner of the company I worked for had them, too. And boy, did they have money. But, I digress. Those were the days. Then, later Bose came out with those little black cubes that came with subwoofers, as a 3-speaker system, or sometimes more than 3. And those sound really good too. A summer and a half ago, I was at a yard sale and a very nice older gentleman had a box with a few of these systems plus a Pioneer receiver and I think, three CD changers and even a DVD changer that holds 400 DVDs! With all cords, all remotes, etc, and he asked for $100 for all of it. I put the stuff in my garage and forgot about it. Finally one day, I connected one of the 200-disc CD changers, a Pioneer receiver and a pair of those little black cube speakers and a sub, in my garage. I had been using a little old boombox. The Sound!!! Fantastic. I still have more equipment in their boxes than I've even connected. When they were new, those "Acoustimass" things were expensive. I wished I had kept this guy's contact information, because when Christmas time rolled around, I wanted to send him a nice little gift basket with some finer chocolates, nuts, cheese, crackers and wine.

I assume you took out the subwoofer to access the big fuses in the footwell.
Have you tested them yet?

Tested them both. Both showed continuity.
