I'm going to add the early year only, factory cupholder to my 2012. I have everything I need now which includes a new seat base. I can't believe they made a different base, the post is welded to the frame.
So, I'm either going to cut off and tack the new post onto the old base or just swap the base. My question is:
If I remove the underseat storage compartment and trim, can I see/get access to the post? Has anyone had these removed to know. Or, any link to removing the lower cushion so I can swap the entire base?
