Just Ordered One
Due late May.
The front end looks better in person than pics and the side and rear views are quite nice looking. The front end of almost every SL except for the R230 was upright/squared. I saw the new SL tonight at the dealership and an SLS was parked nearby in the showroom and the new SL looked better. The interior is gorgeous and roomier than the pervious model.
I wanted the magic sky option but I needed a car ASAP and was lucky to get this one as it has almost everything I wanted; could have lived w/o the drivers assist and analog clock though. The lease deals are terrible so I would not advise leasing.
Hope this forum starts to get some life as these cars come available.

The massage seats help a good bit also and the bullet style AC vents really do an excellent job of directing the AC and they are very maneuverable.
The car cools off quickly with the top up and even when it's down you can keep pretty cool.

Thanks very much Richard.
I guess an easy test we be to place a piece of thin paper or saran wrap on the seat bottom and turn on the ventilation to see if it blows up or gets sucked flat.

Two more things I've noticed,
1. The steering wheel will tilt up for an easy exit, but the seat does not move back like on the S. Exiting the car isn't that big of an issue, but your foot may tend to rub the very front of the seat if it is not moved back.
2. The seat heaters can be balanced between the seat and the back. That is, you can increase heat on your back and lower it on your butt or vice-verse for each of the three heat settings.
I timed the top. It's between 15 and 17 seconds up/down

Nice info thank you very much Richard.
Guys on the e55/63 forum replaced their seat fans with stronger one's that blow the air up into the seat and they love it...the fans are about $10.00 a piece.

We have worked hard, we've suffered long hours, kept our bloody noses forced hard against the grindstone, sacrificed time with our families, made the right decisions, paid the high taxes, we deserve cold air blowing on our butts!

AMEN! The older I get the more I hate my clothing sticking to my A. And at around $120k OTD, it oughta' come with a good bit more than a fan out of the back of a 30 year old playstation.
