Porsche Macan S SportDesign / Ex M-B's: 11 & 10 & 06 E350's, 02 S500
LOL. I stand corrected. M-B designers have been letting me down in terms of convincing me that they still have an eye for clarity and "cleanliness", what with all the fussiness going on with many of their recent designs (or elements within them), but that's another story.
Then again... maybe it's the added aggression of the AMG that makes it look more "at home" on it. On O/P's very clean and elegant car, it seems to pop out a bit.

Packages
Beautiful car, and color combo, looks amazing. Did you get the ABC (active body control) package?
I'm also considering this car, after falling in love from a test drive. (the one I drive was without ABC)
How many of you have had SL's before? I'm curious of the ABC suspension vs the standard eletronic damper set up. Yes I plan to add some nice wheels to the car and possibly give it an inch drop

Ive had it for about a week and what an awesome car! Build quality inside out is amazing even compared to my C63.
Have only put 200 miles on it so haven't had a chance to really see what the bi-turbo v8 can do but definitely feels like a beast. This is my first convertible and can't get over how fast and quite the roof is!
Enjoy!

Just got my '13 CPO delivered today. Only 9400 miles, designo white with light tan interior. Can't tell it from this '15. I'm undecided about the V8 Biturbo. You can get OEM logos for around $50 each.
I had a '74 450SL too (white/red)!

fabulous car, best wishes to you......for me, if they also did a red dash, would be all over it. What year is this?

It's a 2013. Also, stop bumping a 7 year old thread.

I would love a red dash as well. And all the other black in the interior dramatically changes the look of the interior for me, to the point where I find it unappealing. And what really kills me about this, is that I believe all of the black pieces are a cost cutting measure by MB. If you only have to make a certain interior component in black, as opposed to making it in red, tan, white, blue, brown, you save money. For a company like MB to do this on the SL, is disgusting. I can see it on something like a CLA, but on a $100K+ car like the SL, it is just plain ridiculous.
I have a new SL450 on order in Polar White. I would have just LOVED a full, red interior, like the 911 photo below (sans the red steering wheel for me) but went for the Ginger Beige/Espresso Brown, as it is the ONLY interior that is fully color coordinated, with NO black upholstered components or carpeting, second photo below.
Whomever at MB is in charge of colors—both interior and exterior, should be immediately fired. How long must we put up with the same, old, tired color choices? They make truly wonderful cars. They should make them more customizable and offer many more color choices, similar to what Porsche offers. I’m tired of 50 shades of black, white & gray!
