New SL

Thought I share my personal experience with the new 2013 SL 550, today after 2000 miles I haven't had any issues and the car rides and feels great, not to mentioned I get thumbs up everywhere I go. This is really a amazing car that has been fully redesigned by Mercedes Benz for the better.

Completely agree. Very impressive machine, the technology and build quality are world class. But already miss the top down weather.

The only thing I'm not to happy about is my 18" wheels there just to small but I'm looking to put 20" soon, I just don't know what brand jet I had HRE in the pass but for this car I don't know jet. Any ideas I'll be happy to listen.
Thanks

Down here in north Florida, the pine trees are dropping yellow pollen everywhere for a week now. For the first time since I bought mine last may, I'm putting the top up in the garage. That pollen has to be brushed off daily. Yep it even gets in the garage. It should end soon.

It's my only issue with the car.

It's amazing how the pollen sticks to the paint, at my other house it was a constant upkeep, but I tell you what it beats that salt air in the Florida keys, I was in Tarvernier for 3 days and I had salt all over my exterior, it took me almost a full day of detailing.

I bought west of I-95 for that very reason. I had two motorcycles then. I can picture all the rusted steel parts.

I just looked at my Jeep in the driveway. The pollen is still in the air. We need a good rain.

If it stays yellow, try stopping the engine and then restarting it. That usually works for me.

It's not a fix but it may give the shop something to go on.

I can't believe you're awake like me at this time, I also schedule an appointment at the dealer so hopefully they will have a fix. I'll let you know.

Though I'm retired now, I worked mostly at night. My hours are still all confused.
