Meisterschaft Premium Exhaust Systems for R231 SL Roadster

Introducing Meisterschaft Premium Exhaust Systems for the new Mercedes-Benz R231 SL-Class Roadster (SL550 / SL63 AMG / SL65 AMG)! Meticulously designed and engineered, our GT Racing and GT2 Racing exhaust systems for the R231 SL Roadster provide a solid performance gain and an exotic exhaust note that any car enthusiast will appreciate.

Performance Upgrade:
Our Meisterschaft GT Racing and GT2 Racing exhaust systems for the new SL Roadster are designed and tuned to provide maximum performance gain while unleashing the exotic exhaust note produced by the engine . Meisterschaft exhaust systems reduce engine heat and backpressure and improve exhaust scavenging from the combustion chamber. They also minimize the fundamental power robbing effects of the OEM system to restore torque and horsepower to the engine. The performance gain will be even greater and fully maximized with the addition of our Meisterschaft SR (resonator delete) Mid Pipe.

GT vs. GT2 Exhaust System:
Utilizing OEM exhaust tips, the GT Racing and the GT2 Racing exhaust systems for the SL Roadster were designed to provide as much performance gain as one can receive from an exhaust system alone while at the same time intensifying the vehicle’s exotic exhaust note.
The primary difference between the two systems is that the GT Racing is constructed of 100% stainless steel and the GT2 Racing is constructed of 100% titanium alloy.

SR Mid Pipe:
Included with each system is the Meisterschaft SR Mid Pipe which removes the stock resonator for maximum performance gain. This mid section will also turn your Meisterschaft GT or GT2 exhaust into a complete cat-back system with clamp and bolt-on installation.

Build Quality and Material:
Only the highest grade T304/T316 stainless steel is used for the construction of the Meisterschaft GT Racing exhaust system. Premium titanium alloy from Nippon Steel and POSCO is used for the Meisterschaft GT2 Racing titanium exhaust system.
Plasma cutting and laser welding techniques are utilized and handled with extreme care. The highest grade and the most durable glass wool pack, which can withstand extreme temperatures and conditions, is used for the internal construction.

Weight Savings:
Meisterschaft premium exhaust systems or the SL Roadster are significantly lighter than the stock (OEM) unit so as to reduce the overall carrying weight. Meisterschaft GT Racing exhaust systems in stainless steel (SUS) typically shed up to 35%-50% of the weight from the OEM unit.

Furthermore, Meisterschaft GT2 Racing exhaust systems in titanium (Ti) typically shed up to 75%-80% of the weight from the original (OEM) unit.

Do the tailpipes stick out the back, or blow into the square tips without
connecting. That's a 231, the same system must be different to the 230.

This system is specific to the R231 SL. The exhaust exits into the OEM tips that are mounted to the bumper.
