Help me spec my car!
Hi all,
I've got an SL63 on order for July delivery. Having trouble choosing or seeing various colours in real life. I'm thinking about Crystal Silver and Black, Allanite Grey and Black or Black and Ginger Beige (tan).
Does anyone have any real life photos of Crystal Silver and Allanite on the 2013 SL? There are press photos but they can look very different in real life.
How about any real world photos of the Beige interior?
Most of the dealers here have a poor selection of paint/trim options so any help would be appreciated!
Cheers

UKEvo - I don't know how possible it is for you to do this - but here in the States dealers have the option to buy "the board" - it isn't inexpensive so a lot of dealers don't have it. But if you can find one with it, there are large samples of paint colors, leathers (including Designo leathers) and trims.
We flew up to Manhattan when we were trying to figure out the color combination for the car we just ordered. It ended up being something that I'd never had tried to put together from the samples you see online, but when you could put 12" x 12" samples together it was easy to get the bigger picture.

Well, in the UK the biggest dealer in the country only has some of the colour chips and not even the interior leathers. Very disappointing.
Therefore I'm off to Germany next week to see one in Crystal Silver in the flesh. I will take some photos and post them here. It's an SLS though, unfortunately not an SL63.
Crystal Silver is special order only in the UK. Allanite is available. It appears though that no one has ordered a car in either of these colours in the UK so the only thing left to do is go to the factory. I suspect I'll have to pay for the privelege of the trip myself too.
Not been very impressed with the service to be honest. Other brands do it a lot better than Mercedes at this price point. If you're going to sell a premium product you should certainly at the very least have the colour and trim combinations at hand!

Stunning car!! Congrats!
I like the front end of the SL63 because the grill is much smaller than on the SL550.
Enjoy. The car is wicked fun to drive

Please look again. Here are some images. Look at the bumper design; it is quite different (on the 63, the grill looks like its part of the hood and sits on top of the front bumper) IMO, the SL63 front clip is definitely a bit more balanced it its proportions.

It is more difficult to see on a silver car, but on the 63 the lowest cross member of the grill/front clip is "chrome" and not the same color as the body, which it is for the 550.
