I am going to trade my SL550 end of next year for an AMG GTS; I like the idea of having a track car but I also really like the SL and know that the GTS will ride like **** around town where I live. I will give the GTS a chance and if I dont like it or track it enough I will probly flip it for a lightly-used CPO SL65. 😎

Totally different cars, cant even compare them to be honest. The R8 is definitely more special, I mean its got the V10 sitting almost inches behind you and the overall experience and look of the car is that of a true sports/exotic car.
The SL63 is awesome, I am actually loving it in every way. It just does everything so well, its smooth and quiet when you want it to be but its also loud and sporty a ton of fun when you throw it in Sport + and bang the gears.
Very different cars with very different purposes in my opinion. I also daily drive my SL63 as its my only car now and the R8 was more of a toy/weekend car for me.

- first car a multi colored corvair. Cost 20$ all tires flat, no battery, floor boards rusted out (Fred flint stone style)

No more MB:(
Just turned 50, second SL. First one at 44. Love the car, it provides me with everything I need. Luxury, performance, style, and comfort. I can take a call doing 70 with the top down with the seat massage on. Pretty cool!

I'll be 66 next year when I get my 2020 SL 450. Don't know why it's taken so long except I've lived on dirt roads for thirty years and drove trucks for obvious reasons. My first car was a 1965 Porsvhe 356C. I lived on a paved road then.
