I looked at a 2013 SL550 in January, $38,000 and it was a beauty but we couldn't come to terms on my trade. Happy with my 2015 SL400 for $42,500 other than the too-soft 19" OEM wheels. I'm 60.

Like my 2013 sl550
I have had it for two years now. Love everything except for the run flat tires. I would like to get some Michelen Sports but the tires I have are too good to ditch right now.
Every day I learn something new about the car.

I'll be 70 in December. Traded my C7 Corvette for the SL. Wife hated the Corvette but loves the SL. Reminds her of the Z4 we bought about 10 years ago. Dealer told me I was now driving a "Gentleman's Roadster" instead of a redneck sports car.

I am 48. My wife (44) and I have always loved the SL. Bought a 2014 550 for our fun car! Really love it, much different than driving our Expedition or F150 . Although for the size of them, they are fun to drive too.

previously used to blast up and down I 35 - to be traded in for an SL. The SL is an excellent cruiser that I can take on the back roads... the S is just a cruiser (and amazing one) but long distance drives goes to the F150..

So, Is the Ford F-150 Pickup considered a 'basic necessity' for anyone living in the State of Texas?...![Stick Out Tongue](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/tongue.gif)

Have the Ecoboost 2,7 and it is amazing- great power and get 22 MPG around town and 27 on my last trip to Houston!
Love My Truck-
One negative is that the tire shops and body shops are made ONLY to repair SUVs and Trucks- there are very few body shops I would recommend (Other cars Wifes M2, Golf R, SL) but
ding a truck up - ANYONE can fix it.
So many good things and like anything else- a few quirks too nothing is perfect.

Age
22 years young.
Owned mine for almost 1 year now, Picked it up last year when I was just 21. Most of my buddies said get a gtr, get an r8, I got the SL and dont regret it for a minute. I also love the fact that most young guys think it's a old people car, therefore it must be slow, mustang gt drivers always pick on me on the road, they always end up embarrassing themselves.

I must have already posted here as I'm subscribed, but again, 60. My first car in 1974 was a 1953 Cadillac Fleetwood (my $1100 but my father's choice). Am I the only one wondering where the young guys on this thread got the money? And where are the ladies??

I'm 69 staring at 70. First SL after 13 BMWs, 4 Audis and a C7 Corvette. Traded the Corvette for the SL. Wife hated the Vette but loves the SL. Says it reminds her of the Z4 hardtop convertible I traded for the Vette. Plan to keep it 3 years and then trade for a newer SL. Not interested in the upcoming 4 seat soft top SL. Ride quality and comfort is an upgrade from the Corvette. Corvette was quicker and a nice weekend track car. I have given up track time and will use the SL for road trips and weekend cruises.
