Ventilated seats and Air scarf in new 2014SL550
Hi
I just took delivery of an SL550 2014 model.
I realized the active ventilated seats were not that noticeable and wondered if this is the norm? Anyone know of ways to up the power on this feature
Also is there any way to make the air scarf push non-heated air such as cabin air?
Thanks,

Nope and nope.
Sorry, by comparison to my S-Class the ventilated seats are fairly weak. Air Scarf is meant for the cold fall/spring days when the sun is out or moon full.

The air scarf is quite strong in terms of heat, but it blows lightly which I would want. Obviously not noticeable when warm but when it's cool outside it works great.
In typical Mercedes fashion, active cooling is very light.

I understand that those of us who live in warmer climates might want more pressure in our A/V seats....but sat in a friend's Porshce Macan the other day. It is 2 weeks old - when he turned on the A/V seats they blew hard but were so loud he turned up the radio.
So I guess it is a balance. I'd rather have less noise and turn the temp down on the a/c which in turn will cycle cooler air through the seat than have to listen to A/V seats that sound like a room fan bought at Target in the car.
