Only MBs - the best or nothing
While offsets you listed are good enough for R231 (at least for 1-piece wheels), the front may require 5mm or even 10mm spacers to clear calipers due to (not the offsets, but) the positioning of the inner spokes in relation to calipers (this "problem" mostly occurs with 3-piece wheels with lips of over 1" - i.e. et30 3-piece wheels I test fitted on C218 (same offsets as R231) cleared (same as R231) front calipers by barely a mm (I ended up using 10mm spacers for "comfort" and looks)).

Agreed to what ThreeMB's said.

I would just recommend looking at pics with that type of wheel on your car. Personally I think the R231 looks better with concave wheels and a small lip

these are 3 piece wheels, so would using spacers cause any difficulties with the mechanics of the car or any warranty issues?

I'm having the wheels modified by a specialized high end wheel shop locally, Wheel Specialists Inc, they will modify to the wheels to fit properly instead of using spacers.

Many thanks for all your comments!
