The engine cover on my SL550 was faded and the star had fallen off as is fairly typical for these.
MB wanted $135 for a new one. So when this popped up for $150, I figured it was a no brainer. Plus it appealed to my Carbon fetish
It was missing the star, so took the opportunity to de-AMG it a bit with a new engine plate & traditional star.
Still need to do a little 3M work underneath….

I have one from my 2013 SL550. The dealer broke a post off of it during a service and I happened to catch it. They replaced it for free.
