SL400 best battery trickle charger connection spot
Planning my 2015 SL400 winter storage. I am not sure I need to use a battery tender, but... The car will be driven occasionally if the temp gets above 40F and the roads are dry just to charge the battery and move the tires so no flat spots occur. Maybe once a month between November and May, 10 to 25 miles. If necessary, what is the best way to install a battery minder? Will both batteries be maintained? Are the cigarette lighter connections effective? Should I just not worry about it and let it sit?
Easiest way is to use the alligator clip connection that comes with the different battery chargers. I would connect it to the 2 connections (red sliding piece + terminal) and copper colored ground connection. You can lower the but don't completely close it. This should work fine. Easy on easy off.
