Faulty easy entry exit feature
Hi,
I have had problems where the steering wheel does not move out of the way and seat move back when the key is removed. I have had my car in at the MB dealership and they say that this feature has been removed across the whole Mercedes range for safety reasons, so that rear passengers do not get crushed. I pointed out that this car is an SL and there are no rear seats or rear passengers!!!.
Does anyone know if it is correct that this feature has been removed as it sounds like BS to me?:

The seat feature has never been implemented in the R231 as it was worthless to begin with.
On the R230, most people had the seat so far back that it could never move further back. Also, in a convertible the back will adjust to the available space when moving back the seat, which makes for an odd exit adjustment.
The steering wheel is the only thing that adjusts on entry exit and works just fine...
That said, the dealer info is BS anyway as the seat moves back on our 2015 S-Class
