SL/R231: Is CPO extended warranty transferable?
It was sold new in Sept. 2013. Traded in with 8,400 miles to an MB dealer in March 2016. Dealer sold it as CPO. I assume, that at that point, the car got a warranty until Sept. 2018 or 100K miles. Does this sound right so far? The car was then traded in to an exotic used car dealer, which is where it is now. Assuming that the car has been properly serviced and maintained, would that CPO warranty transfer to me? Any help would be much appreciated.

The CPO warranty may not be usable for anyone else but the person that buys it from the dealer.
"May" because just recently they made the pre-paid maintenance plans transferrable which wasn't the case before, so it's worth checking into with MBUSA (dealer may not know or want to volunteer info as there is a financial incentive to sell you the extended warranty)
Good luck!

That said, consignment sounds like a grey area to me. Per the above linked website, you need to show proof of private party purchase to a dealer to effect the warranty transfer. So I guess it depends on what documentation you can come up with.
