replaced Key battery and warning on dash does not go away

I replaced the key battery with an Energizer 2025 battery. When I started the car after replacing the key battery, the warning on the dash was still present. I turned off the car and restarted it several times to see if that would reset the warning with no luck as another thread had suggested. Any other suggestions?

Check the battery to be sure it's properly installed. When my car goes in for service, the salesman automatically puts in a new battery

Good luck

Replaced new battery with another new battery and the problem went away. Not sure if it was not in the key properly or if it was a bad battery.
