How Do You Get A SL Up On A Flatbed Tow Truck?
If the engine happens to have a problem and you cannot start it you cannot pull the dash lever and unlock the brakes. Turning the key to position one and then pulling on the lever gives you a dash alert that you have to turn the ignition on to unlock the brakes. So if one has a towable engine problem does the wrecker driver winch the SL up onto the flatbed truck with the wheels locked? How does he get it off? What am I missing here?

From the manual -- not sure if this helps......
The towing eye can be used to pull the vehicle onto a trailer or transporter if you wish to transport it.
Turn the key to position in the ignition lock.
Shift the transmission to position .
As soon as the vehicle is loaded:
Secure the vehicle against rolling away by applying the electric parking brake.
Shift the transmission to position .
Turn the key to position in the ignition lock and remove it.
Secure the vehicle.

I have not tried it. Is there an actual P position for the gearbox like the older manual units? Is the P button the parking brake or the gearbox in Park position....or both....??
