SL/R231: Extended Warranty dilemna, and I have less than 24 hours to decide!

me: 2015 SL400 & 2015 ML400; wife: 2022 GLC Coupe; daughter: 2017 GLC SUV
Extended Warranty dilemna, and I have less than 24 hours to decide!
Well, it turns out my 4/50,000 expires 9/25, not 9/30, so I have to decide by tomorrow. Dealer is offering me the 7 year/75,000 warranty for $5034.14, which of course covers me for the next 3 years/40,000 miles. Is it likely I'd have $5000 of warranty-covered repairs in that time? No ABC, of course. Thanks in advance for your input!!

What does ABC mean?
for what it’s worth, I went ahead and bought the extended warranty on my E53 Cabriolet because my prior experience with MB (which was also under warranty) is things get expensive as the car ages.

Bought one today, 7yr/75k, from Jeff Jackson at MB Louisville for $3500. This was on new car, 15% (I think) surcharge for cars more than 30 days old. That would be $4025. Whether it will be worth that to you is still something only you can decide. But if you decide to go ahead I would call Jeff in the morning. Only takes a few minutes by phone or email and you’re covered.
I am SO GLAD I brought this question to the forum! Can you believe Jeff charged me $3795??!? I am psyched!!

Today I sprang for MBELW for the 2018 SL550
After lots of checking I went with Cassandra Castro Finance Mgr @ International Autos Inc of Milwakee
She picked up phone right away, gave me quote and it was the best after I had done lots of checking around
Some were close to her but, she was the best.
Emailed contract with MB waranty cover page, took credit card and all done in 10 mins.
So try her @ 414-543-3000 X115
After lots of checking I went with Cassandra Castro Finance Mgr @ International Autos Inc of Milwakee

Would be nice if some members can share how much they spent on repairs after the warranty expired, my SL550 warranty expired a couple of years ago and I have spent nothing on repairs so far. I’m not so sure if It is relevant but the previous model one I had for more than 10 years was completely trouble free it only cost me gas and maintenance, I gave up long time ago on buying extended warranties just for the peace of mind. It may come to how many miles you guys are driving every year, but I would be shocked if you will have to spend even half of what you pay for these extended warranties.

Best you get your Dealer price then call Cassandra (I don't think it is right thing to do to publish my deal BUT, I'm sure you will be pleased as I was.

My car is loaded with all options including ABC. I'm going to drive it so bought the 100K mile MBELW because it covers everything like the MB std warranty even struts, ABC pump lines ect (BTW the CPO does NOT cover much of the ABC system and lots of other stuff as well where the MBELW covers all just like new car).
Anyway I'm happy with what I did.
