Steering Wheel Not Tilting
My 2016 SL came off of warranty 3 weeks ago. I went to drive it Sunday and the steering wheel is “clicking” but not tilting. I know that the dog bone is prone to snapping on previous generations of our car, and for many other MB models as well. I’m assuming that’s the issue here. I have an appointment to take it in this Monday and I’m hopeful that MB will fix it under warranty. I’ve purchased 2 new Benz’s from this dealer in the last 6 months and over 10 in the past 15 years. I consider myself a good customer. Think they will fix this under warranty?

I have the same issue, and it's a common problem. Luckily in my case, the steering wheel tilt happens to be stuck in the 'correct tilt position for me', so I haven't bothered to get it fixed.
Good luck getting the Dealer to fix this after warranty expiration. I suspect it's pretty expensive to fix as the steering column would needs to taken apart to access the broken 'dog bone' plastic part.

I must have my seat lower than most. At 5’11” if my steering wheel is not always raised all the way up the top it blocks my view of the speedometer.....

Just heard from the dealer. They are ordering a new “gear box motor & drive shaft” for my car. Dealer also said it will be covered under warranty. Nice.
