As i was surfing the net i came across to some modifiers who were able to enable a mode in the transmission setting to turn on a mode called A (agility)
from my understanding it is somewhat similar to s+ mode in amg cars .
holds the gears in higher rpms. And stiffens the gear changes.
it is achieved via a obd dongle to flash the tcu i think. Takes about 2 minutes and reverseble.
so i contacted to inquire. And after the tuner checking my vin number he let me know what can be done for my 2014 sl550.
these would all be in different dongles and priced seperately.
#1 was an ecu tune so i cropped it out.
real interesting stuff. Amg menu in the cluster is also nice if one wants to see exact temps for coolant ,oil & transmission.
so i ordered only the agility mode enable mod and will update here once i receive it. Cross your fingers

upload was pretty straight forward. Put the car in acc mode and plug in the obd2 dongle. Took about 2 minutes.
showed a couple messages on the nav screen.
now i can select A mode from transmission.
as for feedback here are my first impressions.
i think this isnt a step above S mode but a mode between S and E . At a stop car is at D2 vs sport modes D1. Also sport mode never goes to d7 on cruising speeds but A mode does.
so if i find somethingelse regarding the mode i’ll update here but for now i’ll say just this: if one doesnt want either laziness of eco mode or aggressiveness of sport mode for mpgs i’d say Agility mode would be perfect sweet spot. i'd be happy if the car started in A mode always and i could just choose S mode when i feel like spirited driving.

its just another transmission mode added next to other, so yes manual is still there and also u can shift manual in agility mode as well. However i dont think this agility mode is sportier setting than the sport mode so i never use it 😂

no idea what club you are refferring to, i wasnt asking for a freebie either, just didnt know a member in the forum did these mods

Hi, I got agility mode coded in, I also noticed it starts in second gear. Tomorrow they will code it so it starts in gear 1. They told me that it's exactly the same coding as sport+. Will test it out tomorrow.

I too had this added to my E400, I am very disappointed as I was told it was equal to sport plus mode. That being said what is this Adaptation you speak of? is that the transmission reset?
Also I was shown a video on a different model where the coding was done and it did work like sport plus mode. why it doesn't work on the E400 baffles me.

i drive 90% in A only with my V12 twinturbo
C is booring
