SL/R231: Winter storage advice
I am about to put my 2013 SL 550 R231 in winter storage for 4 months using trickle charger(s).
I found a lot of information on this site regarding storing my car for 4 months + but also there is many contradictions, so I need your help to sort this out.
This is what I know so far.
My main battery for all electronics is located under the floor in the trunk.
This battery can be charged via the charging posts located in the engine bay, passenger side, near the firewall so therefore I do not have to run the charger wires to the battery in the trunk.
Charging the main battery in the trunk will not charge at the same time the smaller cranking battery located behind the passenger seat compartment so 2 trickle chargers would be required.
The amperage of these charger can vary from 1 to 4 amps.
How am I doing so far.
Can someone tell me if the above information is accurate?
Again, thanks to all members for your help.

I use this Deltran dual charger. It's good for AGM batteries (which is OEM).

I understand you are using a 2 in one chargers. One connected to the charging posts located in the engine bay to charge
the main battery in the trunk and the other connected to the smaller battery in the back of the passenger seat.
I see that your battery tender is a double 1.5 amps. How long does your car stay off the road and is there more useful tips
you can give me

The Deltran clips are small enough to use on the aux battery wo having to resort to mounting quick connects, etc. I attached the positive directly to terminal and the neg to a metal plate that is part of the battery holder frame. Pic attached.
