2013 SL 550 Harman Kardon not always working
Hi everyone, new here! Got a 2013 SL 550 with Harman Kardon sound system. Bought it used, and I don't feel this sound system ever worked properly. Lately, bass/subwoofer work roughly half the time when I start the car. When weather is hot, or after I drove the car a bit, then stop - say at a gas station - and re-start, it may work, or stop working... It's driving me crazy! LOL! Any idea what it could be? Just a bad connection in the sound system wiring? Heard is all optic fibers, should I even touch this! Faulty amp? Is it easy to buy and replace an amp on that car? How could I diagnose what the problem is. A shop asked me for $13K to fix all that...! I laughed and left... MB dealer tried to sell me a new amp for $6K... All this is turning into a bad joke. Any help/idea/guidance welcome ;-)

How long have you had the car? Post some pics and overall experience so far. I have just purchased a '13 SL550 and waiting on delivery within the next week or so.

Thanks Griza. This Soundwerk shop and Don gives me hope, especially for $600...!!! I may even drive all the way from Houston to Scottsdale....! LOL! I'll call Don to hear he suggestion. Maybe he's got a buddy in Houston....! In any case. thanks a lot. Cheers, Eric
