It might be you guys are using the same type of bulbs. I had/have no issue. I would be happy to post a few seconds of video that shows my LEDs installed without blinking. They have been in for some time.
I'm with you 100% on preference for the warmer spectrum. 5000k or up is just too much for the interior, personally.
I've used these in my car and the GL and they've been wonderful. They're very bright and seem to be well made so far have lasted, unlike many of the other anonymous brands I've tried in the past. I love how much more lit up everything is with these compared to the incandescent bulbs and the ambient glow in the footwells when I'm driving is terrific.
