SL/R231: A doctor backed into my SL over the weekend.

Accidents and carfax reports on my car are not issues, because my car has been hit too many times in parking lots and I drive so much and put so many miles on my car that the value is irrelevant at this point. I will keep my car forever, or if I ever step up to something else I will give it to one of my children, or raffle it off. I love 90% of everything about my car and will never get rid of it. One day I want to be like one of those old 75 year old guys that still has a 54 SL sitting in the garage that he takes out when he feels like it. By the time I am 75 years old the R231 will be remembered as the last hardtop roadster and a classic.

It's funny, I was wondering when you were going to chime in lol. I like long threads. I like the back and fourth, as well as the different opinions and feedback. I also like the occasional crazy replies. I hate when I see a thread with a thousand views and 2 post. I always think to myself that is many people that didn't have anything to share? lol but some could return multiple times I guess and also add to the view count.
Anyway, "minor" I guess is relative. $1,500 is minor when compared to $10,000 I guess.
But ok, I guess it's time for the big reveal. Let me scrow up and see who guessed correctly.....One sec.

I inquired as a longterm SL owner, not as a moderator.
That said I struggle why anyone would keep a car in damaged state for a long period of time for something so manageable

I was driving another vehicle that I picked up, so that gave me something else to focus on and drive. I'm glad it worked out too.

Black beauty is back home! She is looking fresh and feeling fresh.
I will grab some pics soon, but the sago is officially over. You ever not drive your car for a while like when away on vacation, or it's stored for the winter, or whatever and when you get in your car again it feels like a whole new car? Funny but it was only a week and a half in the shop, but when I started driving away from the shop I was reaching for buttons-widow switches, etc. that weren't there. (different in the other vehicle)I also had to remind myself how to do this and that. I have been driving my work van and it is quite a leap to get back in the SL.
Anyway.....Thanks for the comments and taking part in this..
