Trunk Partition Not Seating - Is there any adjustment

Hi Folks,

I have a 2017 450. It seems right as the extended CPO warranty ended the car has a bunch of lil hiccups appearing.

One of them is that I can't put the top down without opening the trunk and manually seating the trunk partition. The trunk partition appears to be properly seated and aligned, and when it closes it hits the female slots to seat. But it stops an inch short from seating all the way so that the top operates.

There is nothing noticeable binding it. I just grab it and it easily without effort or jiggling fits into place and everything then works

Has anyone else come across this and found a solution - Or have an idea ?

Thanks

Dave B

Since, as you say: it easily without effort or jiggling fits into place and everything then works”.

I’d first try cleaning the female slots, as well as the tabs that slide into them, and then apply a small amount of silicone lube to those parts. It could be a simple matter of the surfaces not being as smooth as they need to be.

Good luck!
