Nothing new to report...just a gorgeous spring day, pollen is gone, bugs have yet to arrive, 65 degrees. I walked out of the gym, saw my car and just got a big smile on my face. Picked up a cup of coffee and went for a drive. Here's to old dudes and their wonderful r231s! Cheers!
If I might add it is a gorgeous day for ANY SL! Currently 69 outside were I am. There is pollen, but thats spring for you. I just finished up a scheduled hour worth of work in the office and now I am heading home (10 minute ride) to break out the bucket and wash Blk beauty. Stay tuned for an updated clean pic..(see below).
Yeah I guess only us old dudes care about the drop tops. Since spring has dropped I have ONLY seen older guys in the drop tops. BMW, Mercedes, Camaro and an old VW Golf. Not a single person under 40 driving. I do see one younger guy every few weeks in the new vet convertible on 95. He looks to be 30 to 40ish. I also saw a unicorn yesterday. Another R231 on 95N. I could not believe it. SL 500, but had the top up all factory. I cruised by him top down and said to myself hey, what the heck are you doing here, I am the only SL allowed in this part of Maryland. This is my territory. I crack myself up. I literal only see another SL every few months and I love it. I so like being unique.
Running to the gas station to vac now and then gotta go get some leather cleaner/protectant, but she is shinning again!
