I have some down time this morning and was looking over my build sheet again. If anyone has an idea what each item below means I would appreciate it...
M014 ENGINE INCREASED PERFORMANCE. U28 HD BRAKES. (HD? What are normal brakes?) 485 COMFORT RUNNING GEAR 199 MAYBACH BREATHER CAP ( IS THIS FOR THE TURBOS?) 233 AUTONOMOUS INT. CRUISE CONT. PLUS (DISTRONIC PLUS) I UNDERSTAND DISTRONIC, BUT NOT THE AUTONOMOUS PART. 91U ROOF INTERIOR TRIM, BLACK FOIL?

As far as brakes go,
Standard brakes: front-342mm x 32mm vented, 320mm x 24mm unvented rear
Sport package brakes - HD Brakes (U28) : front-360mm x 36mm vented, 320mm x 24mm vented rear
AMG standard brakes: front-390mm x 36mm vented, 360mm x 26mm vented rear

Huh, that’s interesting.
I use “dark mode”, or whatever mbworld calls it, to browse this forum. Background is all black with white text. I personally think It actually helps to see text better….
Anyways, text must have showed up as white text color on white background for some reason as it’s still in development mode…..
I thought every SL came with the sport package? Go figure...

A build sheet is not really for public consumption, hence the verbiage is not that user-friendly.
All US R231 SL's on springs use option 485 (Comfort Running Gear or Comfort Suspension). Elsewhere, any SL with AMG sport package have code 486 (Sport Suspension) which lowers the car by 10mm.
487 is the ABC suspension.
My assumption is that 91U is just the panorama roof with screen. Our magic sky for example is simply called Glass Vario Roof

I do have magic sky as well. "412 GLASS VARIO ROOF" Taken from build sheet. (I have always loved it btw). Gives me a high tech futuristic vibe)

Wrong guess then. This was on our last one: 61U ROOF INNER LINING MIOCROFIBER DINAMICA BLACK. Is your liner fabric or some smooth material?
Also, the autonomous just relates to the adaptive (braking) aspect... not the steering.
I totally forgot to look at my roof for the answer to the question you posted. My liner is some kinda smooth material. Kinda soft when you push it, but hard at the same time..

It is the same on the A-pillars. Here is another pic, but it is kinda hard to see. Overcast outside today. I looked all around the inside of the car and for the life of me I see nothing that I would consider a "black foil" as mentioned on the build sheet.

Remember that this is poorly translated stuff but I believe that is exactly what they mean by the option. Normally the headliner is fabric, alcantara (dinamica) or printed plastic like yours. This could be considered a foil as they use foils to create these patterned surfaces.
