MBUSA Extended Warranty
Bought a 2020 SL450 six months ago. Mileage now is 10K. Looking to buy the 7/100K warranty. Local MB dealer in Fl is charging $5400 for MB extended warranty (not third party - don't know if I trust third party warranty) . Anyone know where to get this cheaper online?

I think High-Line offers Freedom and Fidelity vehicle service contracts.
Personally, I have an Endurance VSC, which is highly rated. You should also ask your local Mercedes dealership or favorite workshop what they recommend. While I doubt a mercedes dealership will actually make a recommendation, talk to the service manager or service advisor which ones pay well.

Any feedback about your warranty?

I've had two claims. The first was for a split hydraulic line that operated the trunk. Total charge was a little over $1000 and it was paid with no problem. The second was for a passenger seat where the fore/aft motor or gear mechanism broke and needed to replace the entire lower seat rail. The total charge was around $2600. That was a total pain-in-the-***. Endurance eventually agreed to the repair after about a month. At first they denied the claim because I had winter tires on the car during the winter. They said I had the wrong size (i.e., not from the factory that way) and voided the entire warranty. I called BS on that, showed them the Operator's Manual that listed tire size for winter tires, and required them to show me in the contract where a "modification" (which wasn't a modification) would void the whole contract. They dropped the argument. Finally, after multiple phone calls and inspector visits, they approved the repair.
THAT is why I recommend talking to @Highline-Autos.com about Fidelity or Freedom VSCs.

Nothing wrong with 3rd party warranties. All you have to do is research before buying.....It's an old post, but the answer is still relevant.....

The crazy thing is, Endurance was highly rated. Even the Mercedes dealership gave them an "unofficial" thumbs up before I purchased the VSC. (The dealership could not officially endorse a 3rd party contract.) It seems that Endurance is under "new management" or something. Because the dealership provided a loaner the whole time and Endurance further discounted their labor rate, I think they were lucky to break even. But not once did the dealer (Mercedes-Benz of Hagerstown) give me a hard time about it. I even offered to make up the difference in the labor rate out of my pocket and they refused.

I get it. I was frustrated with my AMW because of how long it took for them to have inspectors out to review my issues. MB had my car sitting in pieces on the garage floor so that made me all the more impatient. Looking back I guess it was more a short staffing thing on their part more than anything else, but that didn't make me feel any better at the time. When all was said and done they paid for around 10k to 15k worth of repairs. (I cant remember now which amount it was) and I only paid a a few $100 deductibles. In my case and many others the AMW although annoying at times came through for me in a big way and I am so glad that I purchased it. It has since expired, but I will adding another one at some point.

Be sure to reach out when considering an extended warranty in the future, I'd be happy to provide coverage information from our providers Fidelity and Freedom Warranty to compare with as well.
