Hood and bumper repainted, "customized" the grille
When I bought the SL in 2019 I didn't notice the hood and nose had been repainted, and repainted poorly. Hard to believe 5 years have gone by but "life happens" and finally, after scraping my front bumper on dozens of parking curbs I've had the hood and nose repaired and repainted. It only cost a little more than double what I hoped but hey, it's only money, right? Because I've been planning this for a long time I've been looking forward to the opportunity to black out the matte silver parts of the grille fin (my body guy wanted to black out all or most of the chrome but I like the subtlety of the limited amount of chrome trim). Anyway, I'm awaiting the final cleeanup and detail and picking it up later this morning but I snapped a pic yesterday and can't resist giving a sneak preview.....
