2019 SL Dealer Ordering Guide

Hi - Does anyone have in their files a PDF copy of the 2019 SL Dealer Ordering Guide (DOG)?

I've searched the Forum and while there are discussions about it, a PDF copy is not actually attached in any of the threads.

I recently purchased a 2019 SL550 and the Repo Window Sticker I just ordered from ClearVin is not listing correctly the interior color that the car is equipped with.

They list it as 501 Black, Exclusive Nappa leather. When it is actually per the standard SL Brochure called: Designo Tuscany Beige Pearl/Black.

CleanVIn won't consider updating ther database and the Repo Window Sticker I purchased untl I provide them with the MB Code Number for the interior I have. That Code Number is listed in the DOG. My local MB dealership was no help as they only keep DOGs for the current models.

Thank you for your help.

Nick

Nick,
I can't help you with the Dealer Ordering Guide you're trying to find. However, my build sheet for my 2020 SL550 shows the same with the Designo interior, 501 Black Exclusive Leather $1900.00. I questioned this too when I purchased my car and as you can see in the pic my interior is not Black but very Red. I can't recall who it was but they explained why the exclusive leather package is listed that way.

Have you looked up your VIN? Try lastvin.com or mbdecoder.com. Sometimes there are two codes for the interior. Both will end in the letter A on the build sheet.

Try vincoderz as well I used it a lot while shopping for my SL63 and it seems very accurate

To All who responded - 2019 SL DOG

To those who responded - thank you.

I did try the suggested VINDecoderZ - it came back with an interior color not even in the 2019 SL brochure - "Designo Golden Olive Solid - Black/Anthracite". The 1st Service I originally used, ClearVin, came back with the interior color listed just plain "Black" and also the wrong price for the option. They listed it as $1,900.00

The interior color actually is called "designo Tuscany Beige Pearl with Black Exclusive Nappa Leather" and the correct cost for the option was $2,600.00.

What I need is the exact Mercedes Number assigned for the interior I have. ClearVin will only update the data if I furnish the proper color code. I wanted the replica Window Sticker as this is one of the most asked for documents when you go to sell the vehicle, especially if you use an auction site like Bring a Trailer (BAT). One discrepancy between the "paperwork" and the actual description/photos can generate a lot of un-needed and snarky comments from those who view the listing, which is something I want to avoid.

I only got this low milage CPO 2019 SL550 loaded with nealy all the availble options this past June to be my weekend top-down crusier - but so far my experience with the car; with the selling out-of-state to me Mercedes dealer; and with Mercedes itself has soured my overall ownership experience. It has been a full 180 degrees from my experiences when buying a new Mercedes such as my S63 Sedan and even my S550 Sedan, both of which I stll have.. With those purchases it was a fully rewarding experience. So in all likelihood this SL 550 will be put out to pasture soon, as car ownership is not meant to be a stressful and disapointing experience - well at least not for me.

Again thank you for the responses, Nicholas

What problems have you had with the car? If the car is in good shape, why try to unload it at an auction?

I have the 2019 SL D.O.G., but cannot seem to post it. Here are the pages for the interiors. Let me know if you would like any other specific pages.

2020 SL550
Even though my SL550 is a 2020, the D.O.G that Streamliner posted clarifies some entries on my build sheet. Apparently the Designo interior upgrade consists of the 501+ X17, which is shown on my build sheet @ $2600.00 and the 501 @ $1900 for a total of $4500.00. Under the X17 entry shows W69 for $1500.00. I speculate it's the Designo Black Piano Lacquer trim. My car is fully optioned, a rare find as it took about eighteen months of searching. Equipped with ABC Suspension, Magic Sky, B&O Sound, Illuminated Door Sills, Soft-Close Doors, Wheel Locking Bolts, All-Weather Floor Mats, original MSRP was $136,110.

That’s a hell of a build you’ve got there, congratulations! Please post photos of that rare interior you have.
I ordered my car, which is a 2019 SL450. Here’s a photo from the window sticker:

2020 SL550
Very nice combination of your choice of interior/ exterior. I always liked white cars. I see you have ABC Suspension too, that's good. It is what makes the whole car, I wouldn't touch a R231 without it. Seems to be very difficult to find these days in a 2020 year model. Early 2024 I found a 2020 SL550 at a dealership in West Palm Beach with 179 miles on it. I might have moved on it due to the novelty of the low mileage. I had missed out on it. It was traded in on a Saturday morning, and I called the dealership that afternoon and was informed it was sold the same morning. The more I thought about imagining myself driving the car without the options that I must have, I realize I just could not pull the trigger on the car. Per your request I attached three pics of my 2020 Designo interior.
