I wish I was rich, I'd just have my 3-car garage expanded to have at least 5 bays!! My wife nixed that idea.
Thank again JettaRed, you have been most helpful and informative to me in the year I have been on this forum.

I can't comment on the C 300 because I don't know that car. The SL 400 is a two seater roadster, it's a sports car. I follow other cars, and recently I was looking at MGB which is much older than my SL 400 and it's sold for $38,000. It was in good condition. I also like MGA's and I just saw one that sold for $37,000. So people buying roadsters, that is, two-seater cars, are buying them for fun. And this roadster, my SL 400, is the best roaster I have ever owned. Bar none. Some roasters I have owned, include MG Midget, MGA, MGB, Fiat 124 sport spider, Corvette, Thunderbird, Porsche, and this SL 400. The Porsche close to being my favorite.

What is the major issue of the of the SL400 ?
What makes it different from other Merc, like the C300 convertible and so on ?
I love the car, but I feel there is much repairs that comes from it with time. Please help me clear my curiosity..Thanks
I have both the C350 and the SL400. They are completely different in ride and handling, but both great in their own way. Of course, the SL400 retailed for twice the price of the C350 and it shows in the advanced features that came on most. The C350 (and C300) are mostly sedans, though there are coupes, as well. In the US, late model C350s were usually RWD while most other C-Class cars were AWD. The SL is a Grand Touring car more than a sports car like a Porche. However, it holds its own with either the dynamic adaptive suspension or the advanced ABC suspension. If you drive both, you will quickly see the difference.

You are asking the difference between a c300, an entry level model and a SL? Without any info you have decided that you “feel” the SL comes with much repairs? You just pulled that info randomly out of the sky? The R231 is rock solid. Although any car will have and need repairs a simple search on this forum will show an overwhelming opinion that echos the same SL sentiment..Don’t misunderstand my questions, but I don’t see how you come up with either of those, the question, or the statement. Curiosity is one thing, but I would react the same way if someone randomly asked the difference between BMW models that are on opposite ends of their line up and price points.

So, hopefully to solve my limited garage problem, I am lowering the asking price on my 2015 SL400 by $1,000. Also, the milage is up to 38,500 now (I love to drive this car). I'll edit the Marketplace ad when I find out how to edit the ad.
Thanks again to all the helpful folks on this wonderful forum.

)The Jeep and the SL are such different vehicles. Is there a need versus a want for either vehicle. For me, top-down driving is very therapeutic as I collect natural Vitamin D and the healing benefits of Near IR Radiation. (My story and I'm sticking with it.)
By the way, the whole edit issue has been discussed elsewhere. Not sure why some people can and other people cannot. I can, but I also have an MBWorld+ membership for about $10 per year. Not sure that has anything to do with it, but I have no time limit on editing my posts.
I BOUGHT A NEW F150 TO BE ABLE TO TOW MY BOAT, AND THAT 4TH VEHICLE CREATED THE LACK OF GARAGE SPACE. THE TRUCK ESSENTIALLY REPLACES THE JEEP, AND I HAVE NO NEED FOR THE SL OR THE JEEP, BUT I WANT TO KEEP THE SL; THE JEEP CAN GO, I HAVE OWNED MANY JEEPS, LOVED THEM ALL. WANNA BUY A LOW MILAGE LOADED OVERLAND JEEP? :-)
