SL loses Bluetooth randomly
On multiple occasions, the SL has lost contact with my iPhone through its Media connection. Sometimes in the middle of a song after it's worked fine driving around for 30 minutes listening to songs, then just loses it. Nothing will restore it while driving even with the iPhone showing up in the sources list in the MBUX display. Opening and closing the iPhone Bluetooth doesn't help. It sees my phone source, but ignores it saying "no connection". Sometimes switching to FM radio or USB sources than back to Bluetooth will restore it, other times the car has to sit off for some time to find its way again. Very frustrating issue and occurs about once a week with no pattern I can determine that triggers it or a reliable fix.

Yes, iPhone 14 Pro with auto updates. Sometimes it finds itself with a quick shutoff but did not yesterday when I stopped for gas. This is about the 6th or more time it has lost its way since I got it in August. Sometimes shutting off engine works, sometimes switching to FM and back to iPhone, another time closing Bluetooth and re-opening did. Another time changing the music source from Spotify to iTunes/Amazon/Google worked. Very unpredictable occurring with no real discernable pattern or solution.
Late last night I started it up after about 6 hours of sitting in the garage and it hooked up fine. I did have a thought which I might try next time. My Apple watch has the Spotify app so maybe there was some odd disconnect between the watch and the iPhone. My iPhone played music fine by itself driving along, but the SL could see it but not connect to it. Absent some breakthrough, I will add it to my list to discuss on my 10K service call.

Another update to this boring me-only thread. Today the SL and Spotify started up just fine as I went to get my wife a pick up order of BBQ. After 5 minutes picking it up, I started up the SL and Spotify would not play. Could not connect no matter what I tried so tried Amazon Music, no luck. Tried Google Music, no luck. Tried iTunes and it work just fine. That seems weird to me.
The Apple watch Spotify app interface did not seem to affect things as I had surmised, so I tried a hard reboot of my iPhone and everything re-connected so music was available from any streaming source. But, the MBUX system also tried to force me into establishing a digital license internet agreement which I don't know much about since Bluetooth has worked fine until this series of problems. So, maybe MBUX, the iPhone, and Bluetooth are conflicting in the background and creating problems.
Again, I'll include this in my 10K service call coming up fairly soon and will probably learn that MB has many 2022 AMG SL63 software problems that have not been resolved yet. The worst potentially is still involuntarily shutting off the AC compressor at a stop light and baking in Texas summer heat even with the Eco engine stop thing turned off. No other convertible I have ever had does that.

Have you tried connecting to the car with a different cellphone? I had a similar problem with another car and it was the phone not the car.

Yeah, it sounds like it may be an issue with your phone. I am on android but my wife has an iPhone and we connect it all the time with no issues. We use Spotify almost exclusively on both phones. Another thing you could try is to connect it with a cable to see if the problems persist even when it's not on Bluetooth.

The hard line does effectively turn it into an iPod so it bypasses wireless connectivity. The iphone hard reboot has helped with only one hiccup since then and that was fixed by switching to MBUX FM then back to my iPhone. Seems like something in MBUX is conflicting with a clean Bluetooth interface that I don't have in the M8 or Z06 ever. I haven't looked into the MBUX digital package yet so maybe that will have an impact.
