I’m sorry to hear about your battery drain issues. I dealt with similar problems with an SL63 including the screen going blank continuously, the car just stopping for no apparent reason, the trunk never worked, etc. I learned quite a bit about these cars during my fiasco ! A question —- is your car an early one made during COVID ? If so, I suggest not dealing with it any longer and begin a Lemon Law Buy-back. My dealer advised me to do this and they helped me get it done. I now have a “later” made SL63 and it’s awesome and I love it. No real issues so far after 2500 miles. In fact, I’ve parked it over weeks and no battery notices ! Wishing you good luck …

 

Thanks, mgardner. I generally can find a production date for my cars but unable to on this R232. Any suggestions on how to locate the production date? BTW, the car is back in the shop again! Thx.

I telephoned MBUSA and asked them about the VIN number details. My suggestion is to call them anyway and open a “case” to establish a track record for a Lemon Law Buy-back, if you may need to do. No reason for you to deal with this … good luck my friend !!!!
