Crystal White interior? Anyone seen in person?
My ‘13 SL was totaled this week so I’m trying to decide what to replace it with. Have thought about ordering a new one but the Exclusive interiors are currently pulled from the DOG. Have seen photos of the Crystal White interior but can’t find any cars in stock in the US with that interior. Has anyone seen it in person? Willing to wait to get the right car but would love to see it in person if possible.

The Exclusive interior is available for 2023. Mine was ordered and built with the Exclusive truffle/black. I haven’t seen mine or crystal white in person (my car is at the VPC waiting for MB to release it).

The Exclusive interior WAS available but recently pulled again due to supply constraints. Curious if any actually got built with the Crystal White while it was available for a couple of months?

No more MB:(
I love the color but I have to imagine the worst. I've seen pictures of denim stains on white leather, from what I understand it's inevitable. I wonder if there is a way to protect the leather from stains?

There are ceramic coatings for leather similar to what is used on paint. Simple wipe down with a damp rag will clean most spills or denim transfer.

A lot depends on the leather. I had an Aston Martin Virage Volante about 12 years ago. Ivory colored interior. As long as I didn't wear NEW denim, i.e. as long as it had been washed, it really wasn't a problem. When the leather did get discolored, it readily cleaned up with Swissvax leather cleaner.
Having said that, I still wouldn't have the nerve to get something that white.

We don’t see it, but convertibles get road dust & grime sucked into the interior when being driven. When just sitting parked on the street with the top down, more dust & dirt settles in there. Then, when we sit in the cars, the dust & dirt gets worked into the pleats of the seats. Over time, almost no matter how fanatical one might be, the dirt will show in the pleats & seams. Beiges & tan interiors are difficult enough to keep spotless. A white would, in my “glass half empty” way of thinking, be almost impossible to keep pristine over longer periods of time. If just leasing for a few years, who cares? If keeping for the long term, I’d stay away from a white interior.

I would not have any concerns getting a white or off-white interior. The last two SL's were porcelain white/black interiors and they both looked new when we got rid of the cars 2 1/2 to 3 years later. No ceramic coating; SL's already have a UV-reflective coating on the leather for heat reduction and we really only wear jeans these days.
Stone washed, that is, not those deep blue jeans which bleed color for a year or so. Those will color the leather but that can be wiped off with a wet cotton rag. The seatbelt was the dirtiest part of the interior.
Here is a pic of our SL after 3 years of driving; just before we got the GTC roadster...

This is a ‘16 with 34k miles on it that I picked up Saturday. Surprised at how new it looks. Will be ordering a new SL55 sometime this year and it will either have the Machiato or Crystal White interior after having this for only a few days.

The Macchiato interior is my favorite choice for the new SL. My old dealer back in MD had a gorgeous Starling Blue over Macchiato SL55 and it was drop dead gorgeous. Crystal White I'm sure will also be beautiful, but I like that Macchiato also adds beige accents to the lower portion of the cabin. Although have to be careful with the beige steering wheel!

I owned two different Aston Martins with Ivory colored interiors. I found that I could wear denim as long as it had been washed. On the rare occasion that I did get a dye transfer, this stuff took it right out:

Do you just spray it and wait or you need to massage the seats to get it out? How much force do you apply and what do you use to wipe it, I supposed a terry cloth (nevermind what was I thinking when I mentioned terry cloth...) ? As MB specifically states to not use microfibre for cleaning interiors with MBtex but I don't think that applies the same for genuine leather especially Nappa?
