I only had my SL for a few hours before dropping it off at the shop for PPF and tint. My 6 year old fits in the rear seats with my wife in the passenger seat. I did not have a chance to try my son's various child seats (he is pretty tall so he can also use his booster seat - but 2 yrs is too young for a backless booster). If she is big enough for a forward facing child seat, it will probably need to be one of the narrow models due to the bucket configuration of the 2 rear seats, and the straight angle of the rear seatbacks. If an adult also intends to sit in the passenger seat, the passenger will need to be fairly short so that the seat can be moved a bit forward.

I forgot there is also another option. It is called the Ride Safer vest. It is an approved child safety restraint. It is a bit more cumbersome to put on (until you get used to it), but it takes up the least amount of room. I used it in rental cars and when I had an Aston that had very narrow rear seats.
