Valve controller amg sl63
Has anyone else been able to install an active valve controller on their sl63 or even sl55 for that manner..
Curious to see if the sound gets a bit more present when leaving tthe valves open in any drive mode..
Have installed this on multiplmultiple Audi's and the sound was almost always 10 to 20% louder nicer
I will Receive my sl63 amg next Friday with opf/gpf hence Germany

I am definitely satisfied with the exhaust sound, im just curious to see when the valves actually open up.. coming from many Audi rs6 rs7 rsq8. The valves only open up in dynamic and even then only at a certain rpm range.. stupid european emission laws etc.. most likely this would be the same in the sl63 however in sport + and race mode i get the feeling the valves actually really open up

Hmmm, this link works but is there a reason not going directly the ASR route? RENNtech's Exhaust Valve Module from what I read is basically ASR rebranded and licensed to be sold in USA. https://asr-component.de/de/startsei...sl_63_amg_r232

Just to clarify: are you doing only the valve controller; not doing a chip/tune or new exhaust system? I've always tried to follow the protocol of only doing one change at a time so you can evaluate each one more effectively, but will likely go the Full Monty since having to go to Houston or Austin pretty well sucks so once is enough.

I will do asr valve module on Friday, asr is at an hour drove from where im at (musch germany) saturday im visiting their relatives called Asg sound who actually do exhaust modifications on the oem exhaust.. I reckon these 2 mods will bring the sound from decent to Good, as they did my rs6 rsq8 m3 m4 competition etc..
