Yeah it was that video. It just seemed so rushed. Sometimes I watch his reviews, but never have I seen one this rushed and lazy IMO.

I think it’s neither rushed or lazy. He does focus on a bunch of non relevant things, but this is a S Class review after all.

i do not think that the ePerformance is a good approach for the SL. That car is very heavy as is. A tuned V8 will deliver more performance with less disadvantages.

My concern here is also a bit more towards the new AMG GT models which runs on the same platform.
After all, the prior gen. AMG GT gave the 911 a run for the money and meeting/beating them in many ways. I can’t see that happening with the next gen.

Seems like Ferrari handles the hybrids better than MB IMO.

We agree on all these points. I think AMG is in a bit of disarray at the moment. Too many AMG executive reshufflings and putting people in charge who aren’t really car people or enthusiasts of the AMG brand. I know for a fact Tobias Moers would not have gone this direction on a lot of their models. He was an enthusiast of the brand and often butted heads with Ola.

Super happy with her for the price + trade-in I got. Unfortunately, not anymore pics as an acquaintance fell on the car with their bicycle handle two days before my PPF appointment...ruining the MATTE paint on the hood. She's in for PPF of the car plus a hood repaint. A shame.

Tomorrow the all new CLE will be release by MB.

I will be deciding between a CLE and an SL...

Even with 40-50k discount I still don't think I could afford an SL... will we see a lot of off-lease SLs next 2 years? If we do what kind of price would I expect for a 2022 SL55 or SL63?

thx

Imagine a "super-leight/light" SL is heavier than a S-Class sedan, let that sink in.

Ya the fact that major or (multiple major AMGs engineers/executives?) left AMG means something really needs to be fixed at the hq.

Great looking car! Thanks for the pictures. Looking forward to pictures after PPF. Sorry about the little incident, hopefully it is an easy fix.

I am seeing price increases on some of the SL these days... what's the logic behind it while many buyers got 40k discount...

Is it just this specific car or dealership?

didn't do research on other cars at that dealership but a price increase is insane for an SL

Ya the incentives should help. If you are leasing, what is the money factor?

it's not something I need... so let's see.

I am curious if we get Verde Silver for the CLE cab... if it doesn't, then I am leaning towards an SL

There was a senior MB executive, on camera, a few years ago who said something like "We don't care much about customer's opinions."
