Ok, new fuel pump installed and was able to take delivery of our 2022 SL63 a couple of days ago. Love the car so far, except I'm trying to get everything dialed in and one area is giving me issues. My wife is a lot shorter than I am, so we very happily use the feature all our other cars provide of mapping a key to a seating and mirror position (BMW and Porsche). I can't seem to get the SL to do the same thing. The user manual even has this section:

This option is missing from the "Protect Content" of the user profile setup section in my car. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong? I can't even physically get into the car if the seat is in her desired position. So that makes it hard to reach in, turn on the car, and then select the user profile after MBUX boots. The door memory switches seem to be de-activated if the door is open. After looking like an idiot in my driveway reaching into my car and pushing buttons before I could get in while waving at people walking their dogs by on the sidewalk, the closest I've gotten to solving for this is setting easy access for her profile. Then I can at least get in. But then it's a wait for the seat to re-position after the profile is selected after the car is started and MBUX boots. Maybe I'm spoiled but I'm used to the seat heading for it's correct position as soon as the door is unlocked. It's usually almost to the right location by the time I go to sit down.
It could be that I misunderstand this - but I know of no way to map the key to what you want. What I do is have a couple of different memory settings in the 3 available inside the door where one changes the seat settings. Each one of those can map seat settings, mirror settings and ???? I don't know what else. But when I open the door I merely press the button I want and the seat moves to the exact placement desired. Not as nice as having it mapped to a key for sure. But at least I don't have to start the car or get in to have it adjusted.
Weird, when I open the door and push "1" nothing happens. I have to be in the car with the door closed for it to activate changing the seat location when I push 1. (tried it a couple of times)
I'll go play with it more tonight and see if I'm missing something.
