2022, 2023 SL Notice of Defect
I came across a "Notices of Defects" list online. The link below downloads a xlsx spreadsheet that lists defects on many auto and engine manufacturers. The ECR for the SL and others is line item 47 on the list. You can search (ctrl/f) the spreadsheet for “Mercedes” to show all Mercedes vehicles and their associated defects.

On certain vehicles, a sealing ring in the thermostat might detach. As a result, the heating of the cooling water in the engine might be delayed. If the issue occurs in two consecutive diagnostic runs, the Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL) will illuminate. The standard warranty will be extended for affected vehicles to a period of 15 years or 241,000 km (full useful life). Number of vehicles affected: 7871.”
