Thank you for posting.
This was a pretty thorough review and I agree pretty much with everything, and it really makes me mad that most of the controversy around this car - battery life and error messages, a ridiculously terribly launch are " own goals" shot by Mercedes Benz.
He went on and on a bit about the sound which truly is quite awesome and the one area where Porsche can't compete. I sat the other day in my neighbors Porsche Turbo S and yes it is better than before, but still not very exciting,.
I guess the IWC stopwatch image that was described is only available in 2023's as well as the special digital lights - or is this maybe a Europe only situation?
All in all the AMG SL is a terrific car that does put a smile on your face.

The nice thing about the reviewer is that he also owns some of the cars he reviews. Fyi, he owned a 2022 SL55, but sold it because of some of the issues others on this forum have experienced. As he mentioned in the review, he is back in the market to buy another SL55.
As far as the digital lights, the full functionality is limited in the US because the federal government is dragging its feet to grant final approval pending testing. Myself and at least one other forum member have had the full functionality enabled via a coder in the the UK. I have the projections on the roadway and the high beams with the blacked out sections for on coming cars and cars in front of mine. It is pretty wild to see them work while driving on the highway at night. There is a separate thread elsewhere on the forum with more details.
