Mythos

Gurus:
I have to give MB credit, even though the R232 has been a major problem child, the Mythos is being launched this summer. The Mythos is an aesthetically altered (enhanced??) R232. The rumored price is about $1M. The Mythos is a "speedster" SL. I will guess I'm in the target market but unless the reliability issues are solved with the R232, not happening for me. I realize it's a limited production, (250 units??) but I'd attend to the R232 quality first.

At 1M, I have to think it's an entirely different car with the exception of platform? It's a collectible for sure. As for reliability, IMO it comes down to how much tech they try and jam in. I can't imagine spending that much for a car and have to perform regular software updates with ongoing glitches.

2020 S560 Sedan, 2019 SL450, 2019 E450 Luxury Trim Wagon, '24 BMW I7 on order...
I guess it’s always nice to see a major manufacturer come out with a special run car. In this case however, I can’t help but feel that MB would be way better off focusing all of their engineering prowess on getting each and every issue plaguing their regular production vehicles 100% cured. The 3-Pointed Star has lost a tremendous amount of luster over the past four or five years and restoring it with their everyday customers should be “THE” number one priority.
